ASCB's “Share Your Science Video Contest” and “Comic Strip Competition”: Two Opportunities to Win

The Outreach Subcommittee of the Committee for Postdocs and Students (COMPASS) is pleased to announce two great opportunities for ASCB members to get involved in making science accessible to the public and, as an added benefit, to win cash prizes. The “Share Your Science Video Contest” calls for enthusiastic scientists to share their research in brief videos aimed to engage non-scientists. The “Science Comic Strip Competition” offers an outlet for scientists to explain scientific concepts, or life as a scientist, in a humorous and creative way. The deadline for both competitions is October 15, 2015.

The top three submissions will be awarded monetary prizes and will be featured at the 2015 ASCB Annual Meeting in San Diego!

Each contest offers three prizes:

1st Prize: $500
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100

In addition, all winning entries will be published on the COMPASS Points blog!
