The American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) is again partnering with the international film and broadcasting company, WebsEdge, to bring ASCB TV, to the 2014 ASCB/International Federation for Cell Biology (IFCB) Meeting in Philadelphia from December 6-10.
“We are pleased to partner with WebsEdge. They do an excellent job producing ASCB TV, both in terms of the quality of their video production and their understanding and delivery of ASCB’s message,” said ASCB Executive Director, Stefano Bertuzzi.
ASCB TV is an onsite conference television channel featuring a new episode daily, screened around the venue, in selected guest hotel rooms and online. The programs consist of a combination of onsite interviews and news around key conference themes, alongside pre-recorded documentary-style reports featuring academic institutions that choose to participate in the program.
Professor Scott T. Brady, Head of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, who has featured in ASCB TV, thanked “WebsEdge for an excellent film that UIC’s Office of Development is using to promote their department and attract funding for initiatives such as student scholarships, student travel to conferences and grants for graduate research projects.”
Professor Brady said that WebsEdge staff were “very professional and responsive, they worked closely with us to ensure that we were happy with the final version of the film.”
WebsEdge received similar kudos from Professor Penelope Duerksen-Hughes, Professor and Associate Dean, Division of Biochemistry, Loma Linda University. ”We thoroughly enjoyed working with WebsEdge. Their team was experienced, enthusiastic and cooperative, and they made the process look effortless. It was a pleasure working with them.”
If you wish, your organization can participate this year to profile the exciting work, scientific advances, and programs that are making a difference.
Again, we would like to emphasize that this service is provided by a commercial company, which is partnering with ASCB, and it is important to note that there is a cost for any organization that chooses to participate.
