Blanchette et al. found that LON-2/glypican, a heparan sulfate proteoglycan, modulates netrin-mediated axon migration in developing C. elegans. They also found that LON-2/glypican protein without heparan sulfate chains or secreted forms can guide axons. Published in PLOS Biology.
