Learning to harness the power of social media for your science brand and communication

Participants will learn from experts ways to better improve their social media use, effective ways of sharing and promoting their work, and advice on how to get started. Panelists will share tips and tricks on how best to use social media to advance and grow participant’s career.

Speaker
Samantha Yammine, PhD is a Neuroscientist, Science Communicator, and Founder of Science Sam Media. She earned her PhD from the University of Toronto researching how stem cells build and maintain the brain. In addition to her doctoral research, she co-authored a crowd-funded research study exploring the effects that #ScientistsWhoSelfie on Instagram can have on public perceptions of scientists.
