Careers in Quality & Compliance

This webinar will introduce participants to the extensive career paths available in quality and compliance. Our two panelists, Dr. Cheryl Blasie and Dr. James Wang, will give brief introductions, followed by a Q&A session. Participants will be able to ask questions related to quality and compliance careers, the path to get there, and more. Additionally, they will have access to individuals who are currently working in this field that otherwise they may not meet.

Cheryl Blasie, PhD
Dr. Blasie earned a PhD in Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University. She then worked at Centocor as a Senior Research Scientist and later as the Associate Director for CMC Program Management. She also worked at Promedior as the Director for Analytical and Formulation Development. Following her work at Promedior, Dr. Blasie has had a well-established career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she has worked in CMC program management, biologics analytical compliance and specifications, early assets quality and compliance, and is currently working as the Director for Analytical Quality and Compliance.

James Wang, PhD
Dr. Wang earned a PhD in Molecular Virology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.Following his doctoral work, Dr. Wang was a post-doctoral scholar at Cornell University I Molecular Pathology. He then started his career quality and compliance through working as a Supervisor and QC Scientist at GenScript. He then transitioned to Manager of GMP Production at Vivaldi Biosciences. After working at Vivaldi Biosciences, Dr. Wang had a well-established career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer center where he worked as a QA coordinator for the Gene Transfer and Cell Engineering facility before becoming a Senior QA Manager for the facility. Dr. Wang is currently a Global Quality Auditor for Cell & Gene Therapy at Novartis.
