Meet the Funders: National Cancer Institute

Meet the Funders, An ASCB Virtual Meeting Series

Did you know that in 2023 the National Cancer Institute (NCI) funded 2,100+ grants supporting basic cancer research? Want to find out how you can be one of those grant recipients?

One of the most stressful parts of being a scientist is waiting for grant applications to be reviewed and, hopefully, approved for funding. Getting to know your program officer can provide you with valuable feedback and can even play an important role in determining your long-term research direction.

Take 30 minutes from your day to have program officers from federal agencies that fund biomedical research address your questions and concerns. You can ask your question, listen to questions others may have or do both.

ASCB is sponsoring this series of virtual meetings with program officers from the leading funders of biomedical research. The series provides ASCB members with the opportunity to get advice about the direction of their research funding.

Would you like to better understand the reviews of your proposal? Are you interested in finding funding from different agencies but aren’t sure how to proceed?
