Mary Munson elected 2025 ASCB President

Mary Munson has been elected by ASCB members to serve as President of the Society in 2025. Munson is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology at UMass Chan Medical School. She will serve as President-Elect on the ASCB Executive Committee beginning in 2024.

Daniela Cimini of Virginia Tech has been elected as ASCB Secretary and Timothy F. Lane at Northwestern University has been selected to serve as Treasurer of the society. Both will begin their service in January of 2024.

The three candidates selected to serve as at-large Council members are Fred Chang, University of California, San Francisco; Tiffany Oliver, Spelman College; and Ahna Renee Skop, University Wisconsin-Madison. Bonnie J. Howell of Merck & Co. will serve in the industry seat on Council.

The ASCB deeply thanks JoAnn Trejo, Yixian Zheng, Jessica Polka, Maitreyi Das, MarieElena Zavala, and Aron Jaffe for their willingness to put their names forward as candidates for service to the Society.
