After almost five years as CEO, Erika Shugart will be leaving the American Society for Cell Biology as of March 5 to become the Executive Director of the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA). In a letter announcing the change to members of the ASCB Council, ASCB President Ruth Lehmann said: “I wish Erika the best in her next endeavor and thank her for her dedicated and impactful service to the Society.”
ASCB is developing plans to search for ASCB’s next CEO and more information will be forthcoming.
