Morris J.  Karnovsky, the Shattuck Professor of Pathological Anatomy, Emeritus at Harvard Medical School, past president of ASCB (1984), winner of the Society’s prestigious E.B. Wilson Medal, and recently named ASCB Fellow, died on January 21, 2018.  He was 91. Karnovsky was noted for numerous fundamental discoveries on cell structural and functional relationships that have had far-reaching impact in pathology as well as cell biology and physiology. He had been a member of ASCB since 1964.  A more detailed obituary will be published in a forthcoming issue of the ASCB Newsletter.
