Now’s your chance to make it happen! Take the lead in building your ASCB scientific community by organizing a Connect & Discover Webinar or Webinar Series. These webinars are designed to spark active participation, foster meaningful discussions, and facilitate the exchange of ideas within the cell science field. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase important discussions and shape the future of cell biology!

You will have the opportunity to select the title, invite your expert speakers, and choose from a variety of 90-minute session formats to encourage scientific exchange. The Connect & Discover series is focused on engagement and collaboration. Whether through panel discussions, breakout sessions, or live Q&A, these webinars aim to create a dynamic platform for connecting researchers and sharing valuable insights.

Organizer Responsibilities (if selected):

  • Collaborate with ASCB staff to select the date(s) and time(s) for the webinar or webinar series.
  • Choose from flexible pre-designed session formats.
  • Provide additional descriptions and materials for promotional purposes, if requested.
  • Invite and track responses from speakers, panelists, and/or breakout room leaders.
  • Finalize the slate of speakers and host the session with ASCB staff support.

ASCB responsibilities:

  • Set up registration for the event.
  • Manage the webinar or webinar series on our Zoom platform, including setting up hosts and speakers.
  • Advertise the webinar to the ASCB community and add to our events calendar.
  • Send reminders to speakers and organizers leading up to the event, including access information.
  • Track and send reminders to registrants.
  • Collect and share post-event feedback with organizers.
