Getting There
Air
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is located approximately three miles from the San Diego Convention Center. Travel time between the airport and downtown hotels is typically 10 to 15 minutes by taxi, rideshare, or shuttle, depending on traffic. Check with your hotel directly to confirm whether airport transportation is available.
The new Terminal 1 opened in September 2025, but additional construction and roadway improvements will continue through 2028. Travelers should allow extra time when traveling to and from the airport and follow posted signs for terminal access. View current airport construction and travel information.
Train
Located approximately one mile from the San Diego Convention Center, the historic Santa Fe Depot serves Amtrak, COASTER, trolley, and bus passengers. Attendees can walk to the station or take the Green Line trolley between the Convention Center and Santa Fe Depot stations.
Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner connects San Diego with destinations including Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. The NCTD COASTER provides regional service between downtown San Diego and coastal communities such as Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Oceanside.
MTS Trolley
With two stations located near the San Diego Convention Center, the MTS Trolley offers a convenient way to explore the city. The Green Line provides service to popular destinations including Little Italy, Old Town, and Fashion Valley.
