Online with LSE: Evidence-based Teaching Guide – On Inclusive Teaching

This session of Online with LSE will feature a discussion with Bryan Dewsbury and Cynthia Brame.

As one installment of the regular LSE feature – Evidence-based Teaching Guides, this particular publication connects approaches to inclusive teaching to research literature from a range of relevant disciplines. The guide explores the importance of developing self-awareness and empathy for students and pedagogical choices that can support students’ sense of belonging, competence, and interest in science courses. Further, the guide includes an instructor checklist that offers a concise summary of key points with actionable steps that can support instructors in working toward more inclusive teaching practices. During the session, we’ll explore this LSE Inclusive Teaching guide specifically, and the LSE Evidence-based Teaching Guide features more generally.
