The following Membership Application may be submitted online (credit card only) or printed and sent to the ASCB. Regardless of submission method, ASCB membership requires receipt of applicable signature(s) and approval by Council. Applications will be reviewed for approval on a monthly basis. Membership InformationMembership in the Society is open to scientists who share the Society’s purposes to promote and develop the field of cell biology and who have educational or research experience in cell biology or an allied field. The maximum duration of postdoctoral membership is four years. Qualifications for Regular or Postdoctoral MembershipThe applicant must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent degree, or must have equivalent experience. Qualifications for Predoctoral Student MembershipThe applicant must be a doctoral candidate. The application must be endorsed by the dissertation advisor. Qualifications for Undergraduate Student MembershipThe applicant must be working toward completion of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or be a recent graduate within two years of degree conferral, and conducting post-baccalaureate work. The applicant must be enrolled as an undergraduate student, master’s student, or have been a recent graduate within two years of degree conferral. Annual DuesRegular - $135; Postdoctoral - $60; Predoctoral Student - $38; Undergraduate Student - $20. Dues include subscription to Molecular Biology of the Cell in electronic format.
