2012 ASCB Annual Meeting

Special Interest Subgroups

On Saturday, December 15, from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm, facilities will be available for groups with common interests to organize and hold informal meetings.

Note: All Subgroup participants and speakers must be registered for the Annual Meeting.

The application deadline has passed. A list of accepted subgroups, with descriptions, room assignments, and speakers will be available online by September 4.

If you submit an application by July 23, and your Special Interest Subgroup is selected, you must have your description and list of confirmed speakers with affiliations ready for printing in the ASCB Annual Meeting Program by August 17. In order to accomplish this we suggest you pre-contact your proposed speakers to see if they will be available to speak in the case your proposal is accepted.

The ASCB will provide a room with chairs set theater–style and the following audiovisual equipment:

  • Screen
  • LCD
  • Projectionist
  • PC and MAC, both with a mouse
  • Confidence monitor
  • Video switcher
  • Laser pointer
  • Speaker timer
  • Lighted lectern with microphone
  • Head table for three with one table microphone
  • Aisle microphone

Additional audiovisual equipment, different room set-ups (if available), and food and beverage may be requested for an additional charge. Limited promotion in the Annual Meeting Program, the ASCB Newsletter, and on the ASCB website will be provided.
