Conversations with Cell Biologists - Eric Wieschaus

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine1995 was awardedjointly toEdward B.Lewis,Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard and Eric F. Wieschaus "for their discoveries concerning the genetic control of early embryonic development."

Odd fact about Eric Wieschaus: In graduate school at Yale, Wieschaus nearly "failed" the introductory cell biology course that was taught by two noted researchers, Joe Gall and Joel Rosenbaum. Wieschaus says he just didn't "get it" at the time, scraping by with a C.
