The remit of this meeting is to provide the opportunity for PhD students, early career scientists and post-doctoral fellows to learn about progression as researchers, give oral presentations and present posters at a large international conference. FGFs are growth and differentiation factors that signal through a family of FGFRs to regulate a multitude of normal developmental process as well as tissue homeostasis and metabolism in adults. Deregulation of members of these pathways through a variety of different mechanisms can cause a wide range of diseases. This conference will cover FGF signalling throughout a number of themes, whereby basic research discoveries are translated into novel treatments across a broad range of diseases. Moreover, we have attracted expert and senior scientists in the field to inspire and encourage the next generation of scientists via mentorship lectures.
