Abstract Publication & Citation

Abstract Publication & Citation

All abstracts selected for presentation will be available online and on our mobile app. All abstracts will be available on the ASCB meeting website in late November 2014. At that time, all information is considered public.

NEW THIS YEAR! Poster presenters will have the opportunity to upload an electronic version of their poster to a password-protected Website. This site will be provided to poster presenters in their abstract notification that they will receive in early November. It will allow presenters to upload their poster for other attendees to view in case an attendee is unable to visit a certain poster during the designated poster session. It will also give them the ability to contact the poster presenter if they have any questions (the presenter’s email address will not be provided to them, but they can send an email via our system for the presenter to reply to). Presenters can add a watermark to their posters prior to upload if they wish. These posters will only be available for viewing by registered ASCB meeting attendees from Thursday, December 4 through Wednesday, December 10. We strongly encourage all poster presenters to take advantage of this, although it is not mandatory.  The website to upload posters will open in mid to late November.

All accepted abstracts will also be printed as a supplement to Molecular Biology of the Cell (see below on how to cite your abstract).

Abstract Citation

A PDF file of abstracts from the 2014 ASCB/IFCB Meeting will be published in the December 15, 2014, issue of Molecular Biology of the Cell. Subsequently they can be cited in this format:

Smith AB, Jones CD (2014). Abstract title. Mol. Biol. Cell 25, page # (Abstract #XXXX).

XXXX = the PRESENTATION number assigned to your abstract in early November – NOT the abstract ID number you received when you first submitted your abstract.
